Fit Friday is baaaaaaack and this time I am taking it a little easier. One of my clients asked me for some resistance band workout ideas, and I like trying something different so I bought myself a set of resistance bands.
I got mine from Sports Direct, they are by USA Pro and cost around £6.00 for a set of 3. Your gym probably has some or you can easily pick them up from Amazon too.
I haven’t really used resistance bands for a few years because my training has been focused on weights and fat loss, but not EVERYone is ready for weights.
So, here it is – a full body resistance band workout.
I’m set up in the gym using a squat rack to anchor my band, but you could use a dining table, the bannister of your stairs or even a tree in your garden!
Enjoy, and as always let me know if there’s a workout you’d like to see!
Complete each movement for 12 – 15 repetitions, focusing on your form. Make sure you keep your back straight and core in tight as you work through each repetition.
Then repeat each movement for a total of 3 rounds, taking 45 – 60 seconds rest between each set.
For this I used an intermediate band, check the resistance of the bands before buying!
Movement is so important, but it is just part of the process. Have you heard the saying “abs are made in the kitchen”? – well so if Fat Loss.
It’s important to understand that training for fat loss will only get you so far, and the diet industry just keeps making shit more complicated.
I spent so many years trying to lose weight, and all I kept wondering is “What Should I Eat?” – i felt like I was eating healthy foods, but in fact I was eating low calorie foods and struggling.
So I put together the “What Should I Eat?” Blueprint to help you uncover EXACTLY which foods you should be eating more of and which foods to limit.
