This is not a blog about which diet* you can try, or how to detox [unless it’s your social media feed] because I’m sure you already see enough of that shit in your world. Instead, I’m going to share with you 5 ways in which you can improve your life right now, so that you can increase your frequency and BECOME the change you want to see.

*Let me be the first to say, if you want to lose weight, these 5 strategies will not only improve your life but also the chances of you staying consistent with whichever method you choose.

 

5 Ways To Improve Your Life Right Now.

 

1 // Focus on what you can do consistently instead of what you can do for January.

All too often we will choose what is easy, instead of what challenges us. We choose the path of least resistance. You already know that nothing amazing grows in your comfort zone and I firmly believe that committing to consistency over immediate results is waaaaaaaaay out of most people’s comfort zone.

It’s important to ask yourself “what do I want my life to look like in 1, 3, 5 and 10 years time?”. Before you even think it, no a decade is not too far into the future, reflect on the past 10 years of your life – it went quickly didn’t it?

You do not need to have ALL the details planned, instead ask yourself: What kind of person do I want to be? What kind of career do I want to have? What kind of relationships do I crave?

Commit to actions which you can do consistently, even when you are tired, stressed or completely out of routine.

2 // Communicate with your fear and self doubt.

Talking of comfort zones! Your fear and self doubt WILL show up when you choose to level up your lifestyle and start living with a higher frequency. As an ambitious woman who wants to Be More, you need to be prepared for the messy introspective work.

I’ve known my “money story” for many years, in 2017 I learnt that knowing who money shamed me and when it happened doesn’t resolve the issue. So when I invested a big chunk of change into my business, it forced me to have the uncomfortable conversations with myself, my family and my coach.

Since starting my business in 2015 I’ve had to deal with some of the most uncomfortable mindset struggles, and whilst I’m far from perfect I can guarantee you that you need to communicate with your fear and self doubt.

Start by getting really good at acknowledging their presence in your life, and then choose an appropriate way to communicate. This might be via meditation, a forgiveness practice, or journalling your thoughts. The important thing is to take your time and not get frustrated by their impact.

3 // Create Aligned Daily Habits

What you do today, and next week can directly impact your 10 year plan. So make sure that your choices are more about what you want, versus what is trending, sexy and easy.

Just like in #1 this is about consistency, the long game, so considering what the “future you” does on a daily basis or what their day looks like provides you with a starting point. Take the time to think about what your ideal day will look like, get really really specific and walk yourself through that day.

What do you do when you wake up? How do you spend your time? What do you do each day? How do you look and feel?

This is the part which can feel a little ‘woo woo’ but it’s the stuff which works. Visualising your future helps you to get clear on what you really want and allows you to create aligned daily habits NOW which will create this lifestyle.

4 // Take responsibility for what isn’t working right now

If something in your life isn’t working right now, then you need to take immediate responsibility for it. Yes, even if you don’t believe it is your fault, because you can only control yourself.

If I were to ask you right now what you are struggling with in your lifestyle, would you talk about yourself or other people in your life?

You are allowed to consider your role in your life and how YOU make adjustments to your own lifestyle so that it eliminates the struggles or resistance in your life. It’s also 100% okay to spend less time with the people who suck the energy out of your soul!

5 // Allow good enough to be your perfection.

The game is rigged, there is no such things as perfection.

Whether it’s the perfect body, diet, lifestyle, home or relationship – it’s all BS! My coach has a joke which is “of course no one struggles online”

EVERYONE struggles, online or in real life, we’re all just trying to make the best of our one at bat, but when you strive for perfection you will continually fail. No matter what your goals are you need to allow good enough to be your perfection, because progress is better than zero action.

Final thoughts on improving your life…

It’s important to remember that you can always make a better choice next time, nothing is set in stone unless you allow it to be. Emotion is part of life, and the more you can feel the pain, the happiness and lean into your struggles and successes the more growth you will make.
